In regards to the new online method of applying for the General or Releif loan, as I have recently found out by applying online, the unit CO's email needs to be placed in for him/her to receive, and make his/her recommendation.
Being a Clerk, after applying online the unit CO questioned my Chief Clerk on if my OC had recommended or not, as well as why the application was going straight to him and not through my OC.
As Defence members need to go through the Chain of Command, a good idea for the online application would be to include an email address of the members OC, forwarded to him/her for recommendation, then onto the unit CO for his/her recommendation.
These actions would speed the application process up a great deal for Defence members, as well as cut any delays in the application process, as I am now finding out.
